My Redwood Roots Farm Birthday

A little fact about me: I grow dahlias. It's something I am really good at, I've been doing it for years and I do it in honor of my son who passed away. I won first place and second place ribbons at a dahlia festival last year which felt really good to be publicly recognized for one of my passions. This summer has been difficult for me because I haven't been able to grow them because we are moving out of state right when the season officially begins. 

So to reconnect with these beautiful flowers we drove down to a farm and cut some special blooms to take home with us.

It was a great birthday!
